WILO SE 02/2016 V06 DIN A4
English COMMISSIONING
9. Push sealing plug into the connection nipple and
tighten pipe clamp by hand.
10. Align aerator line according to the markings on
the basin floor for pipework.
The connection of the aerator line to the pipe-
work likewise is made via the PE pipe. Observe
the specified distance between PE pipe and
connection nipple of the aerator!
11.
Mark drill holes by means of the fixation plate.
12. Pull aerator line to the side and drill the holes
for the selected fixation in accordance with the
instructions.
13. Install threaded rods according to the instructions
of the selected fixation material.
14. Check that for each threaded rod a hexagon nut
and a disc are unscrewed at the desired height.
The fixation plates are put down on this.
The
second disc and hexagon nut are intended for
fastening!
15.
Raise aerator line and position the fixation plates
on the threaded rods. If necessary the fixation
plates must be slightly readjusted.
The lifting of the aerator line and the alignment
on the threaded rods require 2 – 3 persons.
16. Level out the aerator line horizontally.
17. Lay the second disc on the threaded rod and
unscrew the second hexagon nut.
18. Tighten the hexagon nuts by hand.
19. Screw the clamp bolting into the saddle clamp.
20. Cut the PE pipe to length according to the in-
structions on the installation plan, insert into the
clamp bolting and tighten union nut.
21. Insert free end of the PE pipe into the connection
nipple of the aerator.
The PE pipe must reach
behind the pipe clamp!
For easy installation loosen the fixation of the
inlet pipe repeatedly if necessary to enable it to
bend backwards.
22. Hand tighten pipe clamp on the connection nip-
ple.
6.
Commissioning
The “Commissioning” section contains all the
important instructions for operating personnel on
commissioning and operating the aeration system
safely.
The following general conditions must always be
met and checked:
•
The compressor/fan has sufficient power for the
required air supply.
• Pressure in the inlet pipe corresponds to the
specifications and remains constant.
• Pipework is completely sealed.
These general conditions must also be checked
after a lengthy period of standstill, and any
defects detected must be remedied!
Always keep this manual either by the aera-
tion system or in a place specially reserved for it,
where it is accessible for all operating personnel
at all times.
In order to prevent damage or serious injury when
commissioning the aeration system, the following
points must always be observed:
• Commissioning of the aeration system may only
be performed by qualified and trained personnel
in accordance with the safety instructions.
• All persons working on or with the aeration sys-
tem must have been provided with this operat-
ing and maintenance manual and have read and
understood it.
• The aeration system is suitable for use under the
specified operating conditions.
• The work area of the aeration system is not a
recreational area and is to be kept free of people!
No persons are allowed in the work area during
start-up or operation.
• During any work, a second person must be
present. If there is a risk of toxic gases forming,
sufficient aeration must be ensured.
6.1. Initial commissioning
The following points must be checked before the
initial commissioning:
• Checking the installation according to section
“Installation”.
• Basic cleaning of the operating space.
• Function test / clear water test.
6.1.1.
Checking the installation according to section
“Installation”
Before the aeration system submits to a function
test, the complete installation must be checked
for correct installation (impermeability, horizon-
tal installation, securely anchored to the ground,
etc.). Defects may have to be eliminated before
function testing.
6.1.2. Basic cleaning of the operating space
Numerous contaminants may accumulate in
the operating space during installation. These
contaminants can adversely affect the air intake
or damage the aerator. Therefore, clean the entire
operating space with clear water and remove any
contaminants. Coarse contaminants and debris
are to be disposed of by hand.
The water jet should not impact directly against
the diaphragm, as this can result in damage.
6.1.3. Function test / clear water test
By conducting a function test it can be ensured
that all of the components are sealed and that the
aerator lines are working properly. A function test
is performed using clear water.
Personnel must be present in the basin and drain
the aerator fields during the function test.
A visual inspection from the corners or outside
the operating space is not permitted.
1. Before water is introduced into the operating
space for the function test, air must be intro-
duced into the aeration system. This prevents
water from penetrating in the aeration system
during possible leakages.
2. Once the air supply is ensured, the operating
space is gradually flooded with clear water.
