Song Meter SM4BAT FS User Guide

4 Settings

Wildlife Acoustics, Inc.

cutoff, the schedule is suspended. The SM4BAT then wakes every 24 hours to

check the voltage and resumes the schedule if the voltage is restored.

Battery Cutoff

Press

to adjust the power cutoff in volts from 0.0 to 12.0

in 0.1-volt increments.

Press

ENTER

to save your changes.

NOTE

: Leave the cutoff value at 0.0 if you are using internal batteries. Any non-zero

setting decreases internal battery life as the recorder prematurely suspends operation.

Also use a setting of 0.0 for external batteries that are designed for deep discharge.

Selecting Schedule Mode

The SM4BAT can operate in Simple Schedule Mode or Advanced Schedule

Mode.

buttons to toggle between the two modes.

The Simple Schedule Mode is easier to configure but has the limitation of only

being able to perform the same schedule every day. The Advanced Schedule

Mode can be programmed to run different recording schedules on different

days.

Do Not Sleep Mode

This is an experimental mode of operation designed to allow the user to access

Wi-Fi enabled SD cards remotely. If set to Yes, the SM4BAT will not go to sleep in

between recording sessions so that the Wi-Fi card remains powered and

accessible. If you would like to experiment with this feature please contact our
