Layout and Function
2.1 Functional descriptions
The bypass magnetic switches are non-contact switches. They mainly
consist of switch housing with a built-in reed contact, initiator or rotational
magnet. They are triggered by the magnetic field of a permanent magnet.
The bypass magnetic switches are used in conjunction with KSR bypass
level indicators, type BNA, or comparable products in order to exercise a
switch function at a previously defined fill level.
To this end one or more switches can be added to the level indicator.
Note:
KSR bypass magnetic switches and KSR bypass level indicators with built-
in floats are mutually compatible and ensure flawless function and trouble-
free operation.
In the event of attachment to level indicators by other manufacturers mal-
functions may occur due to a different layout of the magnetic fields.
