8.7.3
Display of available wireless networks
You will find the settings for the wireless network (WLAN) in the
Wifi
menu point of the
Network
menu.
You will see the wireless interface in the overview section about wireless connections.
Select the
Scan
button to view a list of the wireless networks available in your proximity.
Use the
Join Network
button to connect the access point with the existing wireless network. You will need the
WPA key (password) for the relevant network for this purpose.
8.7.4
Display of connected WLAN devices
Click on the
Wifi
menu point in the
Network
menu to view the
Associated Stations
section in the lower part of
the display. This is a list of the WLAN devices currently connected to the access point.
8.8
Diagnostics
The
Diagnostics
menu point in the
Network
menu provides the diagnostic tools ping request, route tracking and
DNS resolution via the web interface.
Additional diagnostic tools are provided by the access point operating system via a shell. Set up SSH access
according to Section 8.5 Password and SSH access
for this purpose.
8.9
Firewall
You can secure the networks administrated by the access point by means of firewall regulations, with only the
desired network traffic being permitted. The firewall is set up via the
Firewall
menu point in the
Network
menu.
Setting up a firewall is a complex process that cannot be adequately described within the scope of this user
manual. Please refer to the more detailed information provided in Chapter 10 Customer support
in this regard.
