4.7.4. How to adjust clamping tools
In case of other angles to be welded, the clamping tools must be turned around the center of
rotation.
•
Close clamping tools.
•
Open machine tables.
• Unfasten screws of clamping claws and the ones on the center bolts. (In case of the angle
being larger than 7,5°, the center bolts are displaced to turning point „2“.)
•
Swivel clamping tool to the desired angle, (read off on table scale).
•
Depending on the angle, the clamping claws have to be laterally displaced.
• Refasten screws of the clamping claws and the ones on the center bolts.
Make sure that the clamping tools do not collide with the planer after rotating
them!
4.8. Reducer inserts

The drillings (A) for screwing the reducer inserts to the clamping tools are placed in the middle
of the half shells.
• Open the clamping tools. The lower reducer inserts are mounted at first, therefore always
flush attach the reducer inserts to the machine center and fix with the cylinder head
screw.
• Then lay the upper reducer inserts on the lower ones, if necessary underlay with a
spacer of appr. 10 mm in the rear part.
• Close the clamping tools and mount the parts by the cylinder head screws. Afterwards,
remove the spacer again.
• The order of the reducer inserts and the related screws is described in chapter 1.4.1.1).
