5) Slowly guide the power tool arm upward and tighten the lock nut.
16. Aligning the angle display
To ensure precise cuts, the basic adjustment of the power tool must be checked and adjusted as
necessary after intensive use.
1) Bring the machine into the transport position.
2) Loosen the locking screws for the angle stop with the supplied hex key.
3) Turn the angle stop until the stop to the 0° position.
4) Adjust an angle gauge to 90° and position it between the angle stop and the cutting disc on the base
plate. The leg of the angle gauge must be flush with the angle stop over the complete length.
5) Twist the angle stop until the leg of the angle gauge is flush with the saw blade over the complete
length (See Fig 13).
6) Firmly tighten both locking screws again.
WORKING HINTS FOR YOUR POWER TOOL
1.Protect cutting discs against impact and shock and grease. Do not subject the cutting disc to lateral
pressure.
2.Guide the power tool evenly and with light feed in the cutting direction. Excessive feed significantly
reduces the service life of the cutting disc and can cause damage to the power tool.
3.Do not strain the power tool so heavily that it comes to a standstill.
4.Use only cutting discs that are suitable for the power tool to be worked.
MAINTENANCE
Warning: Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any adjustment, servicing
or maintenance.
1. Keep the power tool ventilation slots clean and free from obstructions. If available, blow compressed
air into the vents to clear any internal dust (safety goggles must be worn when undertaking this
process).
2. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth.
3. The moving guard must always be able to move freely and retract automatically. Therefore, always
keep the area around the moving guard clean.
4. Always store your power tool and cutting discs in a dry place.
5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. If your power tool will not operate, check the power at the mains plug, or check the carbon brushes.
2. If your power tool doesn’t cut through workpiece, adjust the depth stop, or replace cutting disc with a
new one if worn.
3. If your power tool vibrates or shakes,
tighten cutting disc bolt if loose, or replace FXWWLQJGLVFZLWKD
new one.
4. If a fault can’t be rectified, return the power tool to an authorized dealer for repair.
