Check the heater thoroughly for any signs of damage, do not use if damage was found.
Ensure adequate venlaon and check surrounding area is free from combusble materials, moisture or
dust. Observe clearance distance from walls and combusble objects/materials. Minimum clearance: heat
outlet (front): 2.5m, air inlet (rear): 2m, top: 2m, sides: 2m. Do not posion this appliance on flammable
surfaces such as wood.
Before connecng the gas supply, check the outlet pressure of the gas regulator and gas hose according
to specificaon in secon 7 of this manual. Ensure the area is flame free to prevent risk of explosion.
Locate the heater on stable, level surface.
Connecng gas cylinder:
1. Connect the BS 3016 approved gas regulator to the BS 3212 approved hose.
2. Screw fasten the has regulator to the cylinder valve, follow instrucons supplied with regulator and/or
gas cylinder.
3. Connect the other end of the hose to the gas inlet connector on the heater (5).
4. Open the gas supply on the cylinder and perform gas leak test on both ends of the hose. Follow
instrucons in secon (6). Close the gas supply on the cylinder if no leak was detected.
Starng the heater:
5. Plug in the heater to suitable 220-240V mains power supply. Press the ON/OFF power switch (9) to ON
posion.
6. Open the gas supply valve on the gas cylinder.
7. Use the right hand to push the aluminium handspike of the flameout protector (6) and keep for 10
seconds, then use the le hand to press the igniter buon for ignion. Aer the gas ignites keep on
pressing the handspike for another 10 seconds then release the right hand and the gas will burn
connuously.
8. Turn the adjustment knob to regulate the flame length and make it comply with the corresponding
heat input.
9. Repeat the above steps when the machine runs out of gas and a new full cylinder is to be replaced.
7. Gas Leak Test
8. Assembly and Operation Instructions
-6-
This must be carried out in a well venlated area, free from any open flame or other sources of ignion.
With the regulator connected to the cylinder, slowly turn on the regulator and proceed as follows:
1. Brush all hose connecons including pipe connecons to the gas valve, regulator connecon to the
bole and gas bole valve with a 50:50 soluon of soap and water.
2. A stream of bubbles forming is an indicaon of a leak. If a leak is found, turn off the valve on the
regulator, disconnect the regulator from the gas bole and remove the gas bole to a cool, outdoor
well-venlated area.
DO NOT USE THE HEATER IF A LEAK IS FOUND.
DO NOT USE A NAKED FLAMED FOR LEAK TESTING.
DO NOT OPERATE ANY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN THE PRESENCE OF A GAS LEAK.
