SECTION 9: OFF-SEASON STORAGE
Clean and lubricate the tractor as instructed in
Section 7:
MAINTAINING YOUR LAWN TRACTOR
on page 19 of this
manual before storing for an extended period.
WARNING:
Drain fuel only into an
approved container outdoors, away from an
open flame. Allow engine to cool. Extinguish
cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and other sources of
ignition prior to draining fuel.
Follow the instructions in the
Storing Your Engine
section of the White Outdoor Engines Operator’s
Manual located after Page 26 of this manual for proper
engine care prior to storing your tractor.
WARNING:
Never store the machine or
fuel container indoors where there is an open
flame, spark or pilot light such as on water
heater, furnace, clothes dryer or other gas
appliance.

NOTE:
Model LT 542H Lawn Tractors are NOT designed for use with any type of ground-engaging attachments
(e.g. tiller or plow). Use of this type of equipment WILL void the tractor’s warranty.
