A) NONE OF THE ELECTRICS
WORK.
F A U L T D I A G N O S I S T A B L E
SYMPTOMS
POSSIBLE CAUSES
SOLUTION
1.The machine is not plugged in.
2.The line fuse has blown.
3.The current line is wrongly connected
in the junction box.
4.The cut off micro-switch is faulty or
wrongly adjusted.
1. Loose wire.
2. Faulty relay.
3. Faulty “klixon”.
4. Faulty compressor.
1. Voltage too low.
2. Faulty relay.
3. Dirty condenser.
4. Obstruction in air circulation.
5. Fan has broken.
6. Non-condensable gases in system.
7. Starter capacitor faulty.
8. Fan presostat faulty or wrongly
adjusted.
9. Water presostat valve faulty or
wrongly adjusted.
1. Freezing system faulty.
2. Hot gas valve faulty.
(outlet pipe temperature
would indicate this).
1. Water supply turned off.
2. Foreing bodies in water supply.
3. Float wrongly positioned.
4. Faulty float micro-switch.
5. Faulty water intake electrovalve.
1. The hot gas valve does not open.
2. The lower cam micro-switch is faulty
or wrongly connected.
3. (Only on water condensed machines).
Presostat faulty or opens too much.
4. Faulty presostat.
5. Faulty relais.
B) ALL THE ELECTRICS WORK
EXCEPT COMPRESSOR.
C) ALL THE ELECTRICS WORK
BUT THE COMPRESSOR
“KLYXONS” (CYCLES
INTERMITTENTLY).
1. Plug the machine.
2. Replace fuse.
3. Check connections.
4. Check microswitch.
1. Check connections.
2. Replace relay.
3. Replace klyxon.
4. Replace compressor.
1. Check voltage.
2. Replace relay.
3. Clean condenser.
4. Move machine.
5. Replace fan.
6. Purge system.
7. Replace condenser.
8. Replace or adjust presostat.
9. Replace or adjust.
1. Check system.
2. Replace hot gas valve.
1. Turn on.
2. Clean water entry filters.
3. Adjust float
4. Replace micro-switch.
5. Replace electrovalve.
1. Check valve.
2. Replace or connect micro-switch
properly.
3. Regulate water presostat to 40-43 º C.
4. Check or adjust presostat.
5. Replace relais.
D) EVERYTHING APPEARS TO BE
RUNNING CORRECTLY BUT NO
ICE MADE IN THE EVAPORATOR.
E) THE EVAPORATOR GETS COLD
AND THERE IS NO WATER
IN THE PAN.
F) THE ICE CUBES FORM
CORRECTLY BUT
DO NOT UNSTICK.
G) LOW ICE PRODUCTION.
SYMPTOMS
POSSIBLE CAUSES
SOLUTION
1. Water level in pan too low or too high.
2. Blocked condenser.
3. Fault with water pan.
4. Water intake valve does not close
and drips.
5. Lack of refrigerating element or
moisture in system.
6. Faulty rele
1. Agitator motor micro-switch faulty.
2. Agitator motor faulty.
3. Loose union bush pins.
4. Relay in bad condition or disconnected.
5. Faulty rele.
1. Connecting rod micro-switch faulty or
in wrong position.
2. Wrong pressure on this micro-switch
spring.
1. Moisture in system.
2. Foreing body blocking capillari at
certain times.
1. Connecting rod micro-switch
faulty or in wrong position.
1. Cam motor disconnected or in
bad condition.
2. Flexible pin or cam wheel
broken.
1. Agitator motor micro-switch
badly connected or faulty.
2. Security micro badly connected
or faulty.
3. Faulty rele.
H) A SHEET OF ICE FORMS IN PAN.
1. Check water level.
2. Clean condenser.
3. Check pan and replace if necessary.
4. Check and replace.
5. Find leak and repair, replace
dehydrator and reload.
6. Replace rele.
1. Check micro-switch.
2. Check motor.
3. Tighten pins.
4. Check relay.
5. Replace rele.
1. Check micro and connections.
Place these correctly.
2. Check pressure.
1. Draw vacuum in installation by
heating compressor and dehydrator.
Load with R-22.
2. Remove dehydrator.
Unblock capillary and replace with
new dehydrator.
Draw vacuum and reload.
1. Replace or change position of
micro-switch.
1. Connect or replace cam motor.
ALWAYS change pin and wheel.
1. Connect or replace micro-switch.
2. Same as above.
3. Replace rele.
I) THE MACHINE DOES NOT STOP
THOUGH THE BIN IS FULL
OF CUBES.
J) CUBES ARE FORMED NORMALLY
FOR 1, 2 OR 3 CYCLES.
THEN THE EVAPORATOR STOPS
GETTING COLD AT SOME POINT.
K) THE PAN REMAINS IN STOP
POSITION ALTHOUGH CUBES
HAVE DROPPED OUT.
L) PAN DOES NOT FREE CUBES
OR REMAINS IN AN
INTERMEDIARY POSITION.
M) PAN GOES UP AND
DOWN CONSTANTLY.
