4.  Operating procedures

4.1.  Inspection before getting in the device

Inspect the following before getting in the device.

Inspection items

1. Inspection with the power off

Assembly

•  Check that all parts are correctly assembled and that there are no missing, broken, damaged, or loose 

parts.

•  Check that the seat release lever and base release handle are locked.

Function

•  Check that the joystick moves smoothly.
•  Check that the brakes can be released and the device can be pushed manually. Also, check that when the 

brakes are locked, the device does not move when pushed.

Wheels

•  Check that there is no visible deformation or cracking of the front omni-wheels or rear wheels.
•  Check the treads of both rear wheels and ensure they are not worn down by more than 1/64 inches (0.5 

mm).

•  Check that the front omni-wheels are not worn down by more than 1/64 inches (0.5 mm) or that the metal 

of the core part is not exposed.

2. Inspection with the power on

•  Check the battery charge level on the display and the charge level is sufficient.
•  Check that the switches on the control pad are functional.
•  Check that the entire display is functional.
•  Check that the sound button is functional.
•  Check that the wheels are not making unusual noises when they spin.

•  If you encounter any of the problems as listed above, which you are unable to resolve, contact your 

distributor or customer support.

•  White stains may be observed on the rollers of the product's front wheel (omni-wheel). They are  the wax 

component of the anti-degradation material contained in the rubber rising to the surface and poses no 
quality problems.

that the brakes are locked.

The device may lose its anti-tipping functionality if the anti-tip bar is deformed. Contact your
