EKW FX10 INSTALLATION MANUAL

1. application overview

The application is created for an FX10 Universal Controller with no expansion board.  The application is designed to 

operate WaterFurnace E Series water–water heat pumps in either of three modes: Aqua-stat, S-Plan, or Setpoint.  

The application will provide load entering water temperature setpoint control for comfort heating and cooling, 

domestic hot water temperature setpoint control, and basic features such as a random start and anti-short cycle delay 

for the compressor, low water coil temperature limit, safety switch sensing, and system fault lockout.  The controller 

will provide the following modes of operation: Aqua-stat Control, S-Plan, Setpoint Control, Emergency Shutdown, and 

Lockout. The application will be designed for use with open N2, LON, and BACnet systems.
