Start-up

Structural alterations may not be made to the scale. This can
lead to incorrect weighing results, faults concerning safety regula-
tions as well as to destruction of the scale.

The scale may only be used in compliance with the described
guidelines.
Installing/Replacing the Batteries
To operate, the scale requires two batteries of the type LR03 (AAA).
1. Depress the latch of the battery compartment lid and open the
battery compartment (7) located at the backside of the unit.
2. Insert two new batteries into the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the proper polarity of the batteries. The polarity is
printed inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment with the lid.
If the backlight of the display gets weaker over time or inaccurate
or not comprehensible measurement results are obtained, re-
place the two batteries as soon as possible with two new batter-
ies of the same type.
Powering On
Press the ON/OFF key (5) to turn on the scale.
After the unit has been powered on the word HELO will appear on
the LCD screen for a couple of seconds. When the unit is ready to
weigh,
0 or 0.0 resp. 0.00 depending on the unit plus the selected
unit appears on the display.
Setting up Weighing Unit
Press the UNIT key (4) to set up the desired unit of measurement to
be displayed.
Measurements can be displayed in the units: kg, g, lb, Oz .
