Telephone Call Indicator (D)
The telephone call indicator is powered by the phone jack. Please observe the follow-
ing chapter!
Connection
The telephone call indicator will NOT work directly on ISDN sockets or sockets with
connected DSL splitters! It is only suitable for analogue telephone jacks. Operation on
extension phones should not be a problem either.
1. Disconnect the telephone jack of the analogue phone you intend to monitor from the
socket and connect it to the phone jack (D2) on the phone call indicator.
2. Plug the input phone jack (D1) on the telephone call indicator into the phone socket,
to which the telephone was connected before.
The telephone call indicator is immediately ready to use. To test it, call the con-
nected phone with a mobile or ask a neighbour to call the phone. If the receiver is
online, it must react and the signal source indicator
℡
is supposed to flash (A6).
The telephone call indicator also works without a connected telephone. This way, it
can be used to check the function of a phone socket.
Mounting
1. On the back side of telephone call indicator are 2 mounting holes (D3). With these
the indicator can conveniently be mounted to a wall or similar surface. Suitable
screws and wall plugs are included.
2. For secure mounting the antenna must be upright.
