Initial Setup and Operation
Receiver (A)
The receiver can either be powered by a power mains adaptor or by 3 batteries. The
power mains adaptor can be used with the batteries in the unit. As long as the power
mains adaptor is connected to the unit, the connection to the batteries is automatically
cut off. Set the switch (A1) to
OFF
before connecting the power mains adaptor or
changing the batteries.
Operation from the Power Mains
1. The power mains adaptor must provide a regulated or unregulated 9 V DC and a
power output of at least 200 mA. Set universal adaptors to 9 volt and make sure the
polarity is correct. The correct polarity of the of the power socket (A5) is indicated
on the type label.
2. Insert the suitable low voltage plug of the power mains adaptor into the socket (A5)
on the receiver.
3. Connect the power mains adaptor to a suitable wall socket.
Inserting the Batteries
1. Open the battery compartment on the back side. Use a wide screwdriver or similar
object to press the locking latch (A9) against the battery compartment cover (A10).
Then, carefully lift the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 3 fresh batteries of the type LR14 (C cell) into the battery compartments.
Please observe the polarity symbols in the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment cover. Push the cover with the hinge down. Then
press the cover down until the locking latch audibly snaps into place.

Replace the batteries of the receiver when the receiver does not pick the signals of
the transmitters reliably. If necessary, also replace the batteries of the correspond-
ing transmitters.
