Cutting Line Blade
Mounting the Spool Housing
Before working on the unit disconnect the motor unit from power mains!
Before the first use pull the cutting lines (20) out of the spool housing,
until a length of approx. 20 cm is protruding out of the housing. For
pulling out the cutting line depress the release button in the middle of
the spool housing and simultaneously pull on the ends of the cutting
lines.
The drive shaft has right hand threads.
1. Use the included hex key to arrest the
driveshaft.
2. Insert the key from the side through the
arresting opening.
3. Mount the flange with the hole first onto
the driveshaft.
4. Keep the driveshaft arrested by using the
hex key and screw the spool housing
securely on the driveshaft. Remove the
hex key.
5. Remove the plastic sleeve from the cutting line blade at the bottom
side of the safety hood (21). During operation the protruding cutting
line (20) will be cut by the cutting line blade.
6. Start up the gardening tool and run it at idle speed. The length of
the string is regulated automatically by the cutting line blade on the
safety hood.
