Troubleshooting
Problem:
The caulking gun runs obstructive.
Possible cause:
Lack of oil in air motor.
Solution:
Fill a few drops of oil through the air inlet and let the unit run
for a few minutes.
Problem:
The caulking gun runs slowly or does not run well.
Possible cause:
Air motor is jammed with dirt particles. Air flow blocked by dirt.
Solution:
Check the air and grease inlets for blockage.
Check the proper connection between the air fitting of the
compressor and the air fitting of the grease gun.
Problem:
Plunger does not enter the cartridge.
Possible cause:
The size of the cartridge does not correspond to the standard
sizes. The opening of the cartridge is rough or irregular.
Solution:
Check the size and dimensions of the cartridge.
Grease the surface of plunger and opening of the cartridge.
Always use standard size cartridges.
Check the opening of the cartridge for damage. It should be
clean and exactly round. Otherwise the plunger rubber can not
enter the grease cartridge and the grease can not be pushed
out.
Do not re-use empty grease cartridges.
