Using
1. Use the instruction manual of your vehicle to locate the
fuse of the circuit to be measured.
2. Switch off the vehicle’s ignition. Remove the appropri-
ate fuse from the fuse holder.
3. Install the test plug (4) in this place.
4. Switch on the vehicle’s ignition. Switch on the car
amperemeter with the On/Off switch (7).
5. On the display you can read how much current flows
through the circuit at this moment.
This way you can determine whether current still flows
which permanently discharges the battery, even when the
current consumer has been switched off.
Or check items in the vehicle, such as the rear window
heating system, where the proper function is not immedi-
ately apparent on first glance. When the heating has been
switched on and no current flows, you can narrow down
the search for the error.
Notes:
At currents greater than 20 A the built-in fuse (5) will be
triggered.
If the
battery symbol appears on the display, the
battery is exhausted and should be replaced immediately.
