Connection Type

Ready
– Remote Access is Off, or user has not added a mobile
device or registered a web access account yet while Remote
Access is On.
Port Forwarded
– Direct peer-to-peer connection, the desired
state for better performance.
Relayed
–
Router attempts to configure the network to allow
direct connections whenever possible. In cases where this is not
possible, it uses a relay connection. This type of connection,
while fully functional, may be slightly slower since all data has to
be transferred through a central server that communicates
between your remote device and your router. In some cases,
your ISP may implement "double-NATing," which renders your
router's IP address unreachable for a direct connection. In this
situation, consult your ISP for alternatives to enable port-
forwarded connections.
Unknown
– Problem with your Internet connection.
