3 - Electrical power supply and connection terminal blocks
On the Aqu@Net system, the FCC controller is supplied directly
with 230 V / 1 phase / 50 Hz current and pilots the RCL control
under very low voltage.
It comprises 6 terminal blocks as described below :
1-
The first terminal block, known as the power supply block enables
230 V supply to be provided to the system. Each terminal is
marked on the plastic cover with L for the phase, N for neutral
and the ground symbol for ground.
2-
The second terminal block is used for connecting the fan coil
unit's constituent elements (fan, cooling mode valve, heating
mode valve, electrical resistances etc.). The terminals are
connected at the factory according to the requested application.
3-
The third terminal block marked MIU is the location set aside
for an additional communication PCB.
4-
The fourth terminal block is provided for connecting the RCL
control.
There are two connection possibilities for this component :
- The FCC is supplied with a ceiling type fan coil unit : In this
case the RCL control is supplied as a kit.
- The FCC is supplied with a low wall mounted type fan coil
unit : In this case the RCL control is mounted on a bracket on
the casing side opposite to the hydraulic connections side.
5-
The fifth terminal block comprises 3 connectors marked as
follows on the plastic cover:
-
WPT :
Water temperature probe.
It is only fitted to B and D type systems. It enables mode changing
in relation to water temperature that is measured via a probe
on the pipe work. For this reason, special care must be taken
when assembling this probe.
This probe must be fitted with a 4 way valve and upstream
of the valve on the water inlet
(refer to diagram below).
We recommend that the probe is fitted with an electrician's
type collar, using contact paste and thermal insulation on the
pipe work.
-
RAT :
Intake air temperature probe.
The intake air temperature probe enables the fan coil unit to
be controlled by the air temperature reigning around the unit.
The major advantage of this system is that several units can be
controlled with a single RCL control.
This probe is connected at the factory in all cases and is installed
on the fan air intake.
-
ALARM :
Condensates upper level alarm probe.
In the case of fan coil units, this connector is systematically
supplied with a shunt and it not used.
In the case of chilled water cassettes, this contact switch is
connected to the condensates tray upper level contact switch.
This switch's function is to shut down the cassette (ventilation
and valve). Its operation is visualised by a rapid flashing of the
LED on the RCL control.
6-
The sixth terminal block has 4 terminals marked in pairs on the
plastic cover as follows :
-
WIN :
Window contact switch (contact switch closed = window
closed). For this reason, this contact is always supplied with a
shunt.
-
UNOC :
Enables the room unoccupied / occupied function to
be activated via a dry contact switch (contact switch closed =
unoccupied mode). For this reason this contact switch is always
left free of potential.
