• Gentisic acid at spiking levels ≥ 5 mg/dL may significantly affect results.
• Decreased peripheral blood flow may cause false results. For example if you are suffering from severe
dehydration, are in a state of shock, are in a hyperosmolar state (with or without ketosis), or have hypo-
tension.
• Grossly lipemic and high triglyceride patient samples have not been tested and are not recommended for
testing with the Wellion Total Cholesterol Test Strips.
• Glucose levels up to 500 mg/dL (27,8 mmol/L) do not cause significant interference on the total choles-
terol test.
• The test strips are not recommended for critically ill patients.
STORAGE AND PRECAUTIONS
The performance of the test strips may be affected by improper storage and handling.
Please note the following instructions:
• Store the Wellion LUNA meter between 0-60°C, the blood glucose test strip between
4-45°C, the code strip and cholesterol test strips between 10-40°C.
• Do not store or use the Wellion LUNA meter or test strips in high humidity environ-
ments or in extremely hot or cold environments.
• DO NOT FREEZE . Store the test strips and the meter at room temperature.
• Be careful only to touch the test strips with clean, dry hands. Wash your hands and
the testing site thoroughly with soap and warm water, and dry well.
• If the meter gets dirty, use a moist (NOT WET) lint-free cloth dampened with a mild
detergent.
