4. Touch the edge of the test strip to the blood drop. The blood should be automati-
cally drawn up the strip into the reaction area. When the blood fills the reaction area
and you hear the “beep”, this means enough blood has been drawn up the test and
you can move the finger away from the strip. Please note that the total cholesterol test
requires much more blood than the Glucose test (0,8 μl for Total Cholesterol vs 0,5 μl
for Glucose).
NOTE:
• The Wellion LUNA duo blood glucose and total cholesterol measuring system and
the test strips are plasma calibrated.
• Use the strips before the expiration date. Wellion LUNA glucose test strips must be
used within 9 months of first opening the vial and Wellion LUNA cholesterol test
strips must be used within 3 months of first opening the vial.
• You must never re-apply blood to the same test strip as it will cause inaccurate test
results.
• Do not reuse any test strips. Error message “E-U” will display on the screen if any
used test strip is inserted.
• If a test strip is inserted upside down or back to front, the meter will not be activated.
