4. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING! (READ AND
UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE
USER MANUAL BEFORE USE)
4.1 Before using the OrangeOne, the headband, the
switching time, the sensitivity and the desired colour
level must be properly adjusted.
4.2 Adjust the headband so that the welding helmet sits
as low as possible on the head and close to the face.
Adjust the angle of the welding helmet when used in a
low welding position by turning the adjustable limiting
ring (item ‘1’ in the manual fig. 1).
4.3 If the headband is too high or too low on your head,
the band that runs over the top of your head must be
adjusted. To do this, push the clamping pins out of the
holes at the end of the strap. Slide both parts of the
strap to the desired larger or smaller
Slide both parts of the belt to the desired larger or
smaller size and push the clamping pins back into the
nearest holes (see adjustment ‘2’ in fig. 1).
4.4 Test the fit of the headband by tilting the helmet up
and down a few times while wearing. If the headband
moves during tilting, readjust until the headband is
stable.
4.5 To adjust the distance between the helmet and your
face, the helmet must be down (closed). Loosen the tilt
knobs on both sides of the helmet and slide the helmet
closer or further away from your face (see adjustment
‘3’ in Fig 1 ). It is important that both eyes are the same
distance from the vision window, otherwise the effect of
darkening will seem uneven.
uneven. Tighten both tilt knobs again and the
adjustment is complete.
4.6 Adjusting the angle of the helmet in the down
position If the helmet is down (closed) and the vision
window of the cassette is not properly aligned with the
eyes, the angle of the helmet can be further adjusted
by using one of the three positions of the tilting plate
as shown in fig. 2. Behind each knob for adjusting
the tilt friction on both sides of the helmet, there is a
small anterior hole from the helmet that goes into one
of the three holes of the tilt plate (see A, B, C in Fig.
2). Rotate the headband so that one of the alternative
positions is aligned with the end of the screw. Turn the
screws clockwise again so they go through the holes
and secure the tilt plates.
4.7 Selecting the colour number
The colour number can be set manually from colours
9 to 13 for welding and 5 to 8 for cutting. Refer to the
colour information table to determine the correct colour
number for your application. Select the colour number
by turning the adjustment knob until the arrow points to
the correct colour.
4.8 Self-check
Press the test button to see if the helmet jumps to dark
mode and release the test button to see if the helmet
jumps back to light mode.
