Notes on electromagnetic interference immunity
53
NOTICE 1
In the case of 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher value frequency range will apply.
NOTICE 2
These guidelines may not be applicable to all situations. The propagation of electronic waves is
influenced by absorption and reflection by structures, objects and people.
a
The field strength of stationary transmitters such as base stations for mobile telephones, land mobile
wireless solutions, amateur radio, AM and FM radio stations and TV programs cannot be predicted theo-
retically. In order to evaluate the electromagnetic environment with a stationary HF transmitter, an elec-
tromagnetic assessment should be performed on location. If the field strength measured at the location
where the wrist blood pressure monitor BDH 612 is operated exceeds the applicable HF compliance level
(see above), the wrist blood pressure monitor BDH 612 should be monitored to ensure normal operation.
If normal performance is determined, additional measures may be necessary such as reorientation or re-
alignment of the wrist blood pressure monitor BDH 612.
b
Over a frequency range of 150 KHz to 80 MHz, the field strength should amount to less than 3 V/m.
Recommended safety clearance between portable and mobile HF telecommunication devices and the
wrist blood pressure monitor BDH 612.
