Introduction
This manual is an integral part of the gripping module and describes the safe and proper handling during all
operational phases. It is valid solely for gripping modules of the IEG series and contains important infor-
mation on assembly, commissioning, maintenance, and service.
1.1
Product Specification
The gripping modules of the IEG series are ultracompact servo-electrical gripping modules with innovative
gripping force regulation and integrated IO-Link technology. Figure 1 shows the connectors and compo-
nents of an IEG gripping module. The gripping module can be configured via the configuration software of
the IO-Link master or via the DC-IOLINK device configurator, which is available separately.
