8 Exhaust system
8.1. General Information

The exhaust line must be installed falling away from the heater.

If this is not possible, a water drain hole with a diameter of 4 mm must be
made at its lowest point.
 Lay the opening of the exhaust pipe in such a way that it does not point
in the direction of travel.
The exhaust outlet must be located so as to prevent emissions
from entering the vehicle through ventilators, heated air in-
lets or opening windows.

NOTE:
Only for ADR:
EX/II, EX/III, AT, FL and OX vehicles: see Chapter 4.1,
"Requirements for the installation location", excerpt from
directive.
The statutory regulation of ADR governing the routing of the
exhaust line, ECE-R 122, Annex 9, Point 3, must be adhered
to.
