6) Connect the connection cable

outside of the
installation blockout with a sealable junction
box (WE-EF 185-1624). Hereby the service con-
duit gets connected according wiring diagram.
8) Ensure that installation blockout
A
is protected
from damage during continuing earth or masonry
works. To avoid dirt close the blockout with the
provided blanking plug (WE-EF 185-1850). Only
an undamaged blockout guarantees a troub-
le-free installation of inground uplights.
7) Inground uplights with LED can get operated
with the light control WE-EF CONTROL in com-
bination with the control module UDM. Here
the power supply is done via the control module.
The luminaire 185-1562 (RGB) shall get opera-
ted generally with control module UDM!
All cables must get sealed in the junction box

in any case.
In case a 12V DC power supply is available, no
power unit is necessary.
11) Insert the luminaire into the inground uplight

in that way, that the fixing screws

lock in posi-
tion inside fixing holes of the inground uplight.
Push luminaire inside installation blockout and
hand tighten the fixing

screws.

9) Inground uplights are supplied with integrated
circuit board, it is not necessary to open the
luminaire.
10) Remove safety cap from the connection plug

and connect it to the luminaire

. While
tightening of the plug hold down luminaire at
knurling.
LED Replacement and Maintenance
Warning: Do not open luminaire while in operation
or while mains supply is switched on!
1) Switch off the mains electrical supply.
2) Loosen screws

and pull luminaire out upwards
with help of a mounting lever

(WE-EF 185-1438).
Disconnect luminaire from connection cable
B
.
Equip connection cable with a corresponding
plug to protect it from dirt.
3) Open luminaire only in dry condition Disconnect
LEDs from the connection cable and carefully
take them out. Insert new circuit board.
4) Check gaskets of functionality and exchange if
necessary.
5) Close luminaire. Connect it to connection cable
B
. Hold down luminaire at the knurling during
connection.
6) Insert luminaire into the installation blockout as
described under phase 3.
