13. Select the correct syringe type.

14. Set Syringe, Pump Flow to 10 µL/min.
15. Click to start the syringe pump.
16. On the Tune window, click the Function 1 box.
17. In the adjacent drop-down list, click MS Scan.
18. Enter: Mass 128.0, Span 10, and Gain 150.

These values are recommended, and can vary from instrument to
instrument.
19. Observe the naphthalene peak at m/z 128.0 (M+H
+
) displayed on the
Tune window.
