CLEANING AND CARE
• Always switch off the fire and remove
the plug from the electrical socket before
cleaning.
• Ensure the unit is sufficiently cool before
attempting to clean it.
• Wipe the appliance with a dry cloth to
remove dust.
• Never use abrasive powders or solvents.
• If the heater shows any signs of wear or
damage, IMMEDIATELY disconnect it from
the mains supply and contact a qualified
technician. DO NOT attempt to use the
heater if it appears worn or damaged.
CLEANING THE GLASS
• The unit’s glass is cleaned in the factory
during assembly. However, it is possible
that it may collect dust particles or other
residual debris in the process of shipping,
handling or installation. Should this be the
case, lightly dust the glass with a clean,
dry cloth to remove these particles.
• To remove fingerprints or other marks, use
a clean, damp cloth. The glass should be
completely dried with a lint free cloth to
prevent water spots.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, as these
may scratch the glass.
REPLACING THE BULBS
The halogen bulbs inside the unit can become
very hot.
To avoid accidental burns, allow at least 10
minutes between turning off the appliance and
removing the bulbs.
Do not handle the halogen lamps with bare
fingers, as oils from your skin will damage the
bulbs when they heat up. Use gloves or a clean
dry cloth when handling the bulbs. To replace
the halogen bulbs, carry out the following
instructions:
1. Unscrew the unit’s back cover by
removing the two screws securing it.
2. Carefully remove the used halogen bulb
and replace it with a new one.
3. Replace the cover back into the unit and
tighten the two screws to secure it into
place. NOTE: A 25W halogen bulb is
provided with the unit.
WARNING:
