It is important to comply with the following
points in the interest of personal safety.
Children may not play with the operating elements of
the control unit or the remote control! Store the remote
controls out of the range of children.
Make sure that no persons or objects are in the range
of movement of the driven parts (blinds, window, etc.).
Disconnect the switch actuator from the operating
voltage if cleaning or other maintenance work must be
performed.

When using window drives, the installer of
the system must ensure that the safety reg-
ulations and precautions of DIN EN 60335-
2-103 "Particular requirements on drives
for gates, doors and windows" as well as
ZH 1/494 "(German) guidelines for pow-
er-operated doors, windows and gates" are
observed.

The switch actuators may only be used
to control such window drives where the
movement of the window cannot cause any
injuries.
Installation
Depending on the selected installation type, the switch
actuator is intended for installation in a distributor (REG)
or for surface mounting (AP).
REG: When installing the device in a distributor, clip
it onto a symmetrical DIN rail (TH 35-15). To
make it easier to connect the device, the termi-
nal covers can be removed (see Fig. 3).
AP:
Insert a flat-tip screwdriver into the appropriate
cover opening (see Fig. 4) and carefully pry
the hinged cover open. Repeat the procedure
for the second opening of the cover. After both
latches have been unlatched, the cover can
be flipped open. Open the second cover in the
same way. Alternatively, the AP variant may
also be mounted on a DIN rail (TH 35-15).
This device type is not suitable for use in damp
interiors.

Switch actuators 6M REG and 6M AP
Switch actuators 4M and 6M are electronic control units
for the potential-free control of up to 4 or 6 sun shading
drives or products, respectively. The switch actuators are
supplied with a voltage of 24 V DC. The products can be
supplied either with 230 V AC or 24 V DC on separate
terminal sets. The connected drives are controlled via
WAREMA climatronic; an on-site control unit with suitable
operating elements is also a possibility.

Intended use
The switch actuators 4M and 6M are electronic devices for
the control of sun shading products, lighting, heating, cool-
ing and ventilation units in combination with a WAREMA
climatronic®. The approval of the manufacturer must be
obtained for uses outside of the purpose described in
these instructions.

mantling must be performed by a certified
electrician in accordance with the electrical
installation regulations published by the
Association of German Electrical Engi-
neers (VDE 0100) or the standards and reg-
ulations of the country in which the device
is being installed. The electrician must
observe the installation notes included
with the electrical devices.
