Despite high quality standards, electronics can fail at any
time, e.g. due to external events. Depending on the availabili-
ty requirements of the respective application, we recommend
taking appropriate precautions.

- Backup / storage of the device configuration
- If necessary, provision of a replacement device
- Documentation of the procedure for device replacement

During decommissioning, all confidential information stored
in the Microwall (IP ranges, sharing rules, VPN accesses, etc.)
should be reset to the factory settings to protect them. This
can be done either via the web-based management or the
service button.
