8. CLEANING THE TUBE EXCHANGER
In the event of a consistently high flue gas temperature, or in the event of any of the above
faults where the cause could be considered to be a leak in the boiler, it is advisable to
inspect and, if necessary, clean the tube exchanger and the turbolators (the scrolls
designed to swirl the flue gases and clean the walls of the tube exchanger).
Follow this procedure:
•
Remove the formwork cover at the rear of the boiler
•
Unscrew all four screws on the exchanger cover
•
Lift the lid, taking care not to damage the sealing cord
•
Unscrew the turbulators (springs) anticlockwise from the exchange pipes
•
Clean each pipe individually with a mist or brush
ɸ
50mm (supplied individually)
•
Return the turbulators to their positions, check the fan pipe for clearance and close
the exchange chamber in reverse order.
9. REMOVING THE BOILER FROM USE
9.1 Disconnecting the boiler from the mains
Disconnect the boiler from the mains and disconnect any sensors (see
5.3.6 Connecting the boiler to the mains, page 17).
