Proceed as follows to fill the generator with oil:
• Place the generator on a flat surface.
• Unscrew the butterfly bolt

by hand and remove the motor cover

• Remove all residues in the area of the oil filler neck

• Unscrew the oil inlet screw with oil dipstick

anticlockwise.
• If necessary, check the engine oil level (see chapter "Checking the engine oil
level").
• To add oil, fill a suitable oil refill container (not supplied) with oil and slowly
pour oil into the oil filler neck

using the oil funnel.
• Allow the oil to rest for one minute and check the oil level (see chapter
"Checking the engine oil level").
• Repeat this as often as necessary and check the oil level each time with the
oil inlet screw with oil dipstick.
Filling the engine oil
When commissioning or changing the oil, first top up approx. 0.25 litres
of "SAE 15W-40" type engine oil.
NOTICE!
Do not use the generator if the oil inlet screw with oil dipstick is leaking. Contact
a specialised workshop in such cases.
• If the oil inlet screw with dipstick is sufficiently wetted with engine oil, screw
the oil inlet screw with dipstick clockwise into the oil filler neck and tighten
lightly. While tightening, ensure that you do not damage the thread. If
necessary, turn the oil inlet screw with oil dipstick counterclockwise until it
rests correctly on the thread.
• Assemble the side housing

and motor cover again with the butterfly bolt
in reverse order.
