Modbus TCP
WAGO’s industrial managed switch can be connected to a Modbus network
using Modbus TCP/IP protocol which is an industrial network protocol for
controlling automation equipment. The switch’s status and settings can be read
through Modbus TCP/IP protocol which operates similar to the Management
Information Base (MIB) browser. The switch will be a Modbus slave which can be
remotely configured by a Modbus master. The Modbus slave address must be
set to match the setting inside the Modbus master. In order to access the switch,
a Modbus Address
must be assigned as described in this subsection. A Modbus
memory mapping table, which lists all the register’s addresses inside the switch
and their descriptions, is provide in “Modbus Memory Map” table in
the
“Appendix”. Figure “WBM “Diagnostics” Page – “Modbus TCP” Tab” shows the
Modbus TCP tab page.
