5.2 Unpack the Source Code
The Linux kernel source codes and the source code of the example programs
described in the documentation are on the CD in the following file:
CD:/linux/sources/.
The installation should by all means be done in the user
mode, not in the super user mode:
> cd /media/cd-rom/linux/sources
(in S.U.S.E, a CD drive is mounted in /media/cd-rom if it was linked via
Konqueror, for example)
> sh install.sh
Call installation script
The installation is done automatically. During the installation a
/uclinux-dist
directory is created in the home directory of the user in which are stored the
files required for the compilation of the Linux kernel, for the creation of the
file system and for the compilation of the application programs.
