STARTING-UP THE CONTROL UNIT/ SPRAY GUN

Note :
The local mains voltage must com-play with the voltage quoted for the VM 2000.

1. Connect the electrostatic control unit VM 2000 to the mains socket (15). The mains
socket should be interlocked with the extraction system.
2. Connect the earth cable to the earthing screw (12) and to system earth.
3. Connect gun cable to connection socket (14) and secure with the safety clip. (also
conect spray gun GM 2000EA or GM 2000EAC or GM 2800EA to the paint supply and
see the operating instructions „GM 2000EA or GM 2000EAC or GM 2800EA“.)
4. Turn selector (1) on the front of the control unit to „1“. The illuminated dot on the
corona current display (3) indicates the corona current limit set in the factory.
5. Turn the voltage regulator (2) past the detente point to the right. The dot indicating
the set voltage value (3) moves up the scale to refl ect the new required high-voltage
value.
6. Pressing the trigger on the spray gun switches the high-voltage supply on and both
indicators (3) and (4) change to bar displays, i.e. refl ecting the actual high-voltage and
corona current values.
