RS600A Operation
4.9 Exciter (Vibration) Control
Background The exciter provides the vibration and can be used in most applications involving
cohesive-type soils with heavy clay content, as well as loose soils and gravel.
The vibration is controlled by the lever (c) on the guide handle. Moving the lever
forward turns the vibration ON and reverse to turn the vibration OFF.
4.10 Watering System
Background The RS 600A is equipped with a water control valve (a) which allows the roller to
be used wet or dry, and a sprinkler system (b) to distribute the water evenly across
the drum. The water is gravity fed from the water tank (c) through the filter (d) to
the sprinkler when the control valve is in the open position (shown closed).
CAUTION
Do not run machine with the vibration on over hard surfaces like concrete or
compacted asphalt. The drum bearings can be damaged.
