HDR 155 Basic Troubleshooting
Motor starts, heater emits
smoke Air supply is insufficient Make sure air inlet and out-
let are unobstructed.
Check setting of combus-
tion air flap.
Clean burner disc.
Air supply is overly suffi-
cient Check setting of combus-
tion air flap.
Fuel is contaminated Replace fuel.
Clean or replace oil filter.
Air leaks present in fuel cir-
cuit Check fuel line and filter for
possible leaks.
Fuel supply is insufficient at
burner Check pump pressure.
Clean or replace fuel noz-
zle.
Fuel supply is overly suffi-
cient at burner Check pump pressure.
Replace nozzle.
Heater does not stop Solenoid malfuntioning Replace solenoid coil or
entire solenoid.
