Scope of supply
Door lock Omega for door rod distances of 225 mm to 435 mm.
Installation
WARNING
Danger of accidents
During assembly there is a risk of accidents due to moving vehicles and vehicle parts.
–
Secure the vehicle with chocks and fasten moving vehicle parts.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing fingers/hands
During assembly there is a risk of crushing fingers/hands.

Make sure that your fingers are not crushed.
CAUTION
Risk of injury for feet
A lock that falls from height can cause injuries due to its weight.

Wear safety shoes during assembly.
1.
– Place the latch around the fastening (clamps) of the door rods with the forking
pointing towards the rear.
2.
– Place the right lock part around the door rod on the right with the forking pointing
to the rear.
– Place the rod of the left locking piece through the right locking piece.
– Push to parts together as far as possible until they make direct contact with the
door rods.

– You may need to cut the rubber door seals for the parts to be pushed together far
enough.

The parts are sufficiently close to one another if you can insert a padlock into
the provided holes.

– Insert the pad of the padlock through the lock from the top and lock it with the
padlock’s locking piece.
For locking, use an Mul-T-Lock Padlock C13 13 mm (183 100 001 4).
The VdS certificate is only valid if the Mul-T-Lock Padlock is used and becomes
invalid when the door lock Omega is fitted inappropriately.

The forking must embrace the door rods so that the doors can no longer be
opened.

NOTE
Damage of locking mechanism
Teflon clogs the locking mechanism.
–
Never use Teflon.
Mechanical parts: no maintenance or care required. Damage
to the paintwork must be repaired as quickly as possible.
Cleaning and care of the cylinder: Use brake cleaner for
cleaning. Then drip a little light oil into the keyhole and rotate
back and forth a few times with the key.
Suitable oil types: Sewing machine oil, gun oil, low-viscosity
synthetic engine oil.
