Basic operation
Handset settings
This feature is used for registrating of the handset to the telephone base. The
handset will be automatically registered to the telephone base as handset 1 after
the installation of handset and telephone base. However, if you want to use an
extra handset you buy seperately, you have to register the new handset to the
telephone base before it use. To register a new handset, refer to the section of
Adding accessory handsets on page XX.
Base settings
This feature allows you to change the system PIN, de-register the handset to
the telephone base and clear VMWI.
The system will require you to input the PIN number while you register and de-
register your handset, or change the system PIN. The default of system PIN on
the handset is 0000 and you can change it in this section. In the base settings, it
also allows you to de-register the handset to the telephone base. For the details
of clear VMWI, refer to
Service provider voicemail on page 18.
Change system PIN
This feature allows you to change the system PIN number and the PIN must be

Press the Menu softkey while in idle mode to display the main menu.
Press the up, down, left and right NavKey or , , and to choose
Handset registration , and press the Select softkey or the center NavKey
SEL to select.
Press the up or down NavKey or to choose Base Settings , and press
the Select softkey or the center NavKey SEL to select.
