IDE Primary Master PIO, IDE Primary Slave PIO, IDE Secondary Master PIO, IDE
Secondary Slave PIO : There are four IDE PIO (Programmed Input/Output) fields let
you set a PIO mode (0-4) for each of the four IDE devices that the onboard IDE interface
supports. Modes 0 through 4 provide successively increased performance. In Auto
mode, the system automatically determines the best mode for each device.
IDE Primary Master UMDA, IDE Primary Slave UMDA, IDE Secondary Master UMDA,
IDE Secondary Slave UMDA : Ultra DMA/33 implementation is possible only if your IDE
hard drive supports it and the operating environment includes a DMA driver (Window 95
OSR2 or a third-party IDE bus master driver). If your hard drive and your system
software both support Ultra DMA/33, select Auto to enable BIOS support.
On-Chip Primary/Secondary PCI IDE : The default setting is “Enabled”. This option
enables the onboard Primary /Secondary PCI IDE controller.
USB Keyboard Support : Select Enabled if your system contains a Universal Serial Bus
(USB) controller and you have a USB keyboard.
Init Display First : For AP-686VF single board computer, select and set to “AGP”.
KBC input clock : The system designer must select the correct frequency for the
keyboard controller input clock. Do not change this value from default value.
Onboard FDC Controller : Select Enabled if your system has a floppy disk controller
(FDC) installed on the system board and you wish to use it. If you install an add-in FDC
or the system has no floppy drive, select Disabled in this field.
Onboard Serial Port 1 / 2: These options are used to assign the I/O addresses for the
two on-board serial ports. They can be assigned as follows:
