AC/DC POWER TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
One the digital outputs does not work. Check cable connections of the Control
Box, the Motor drive in the base and/or
the Computer on the top.
There is no object but EC1 and/or EC2
appear red. Photo sensors misaligned, realign them.
There is an object but EC1 and/or EC2
appear green. Photo sensors are defective, check
connections.
“Interlock” appears green even when
switches are pulled off (or when doors
are closed).
One of the access panel switches is not
connected or defective. Check
connections.
“Keylock” appears green even when
turned on. Operator “Keylock” switch is not
connected or defective, check the
connection.
X-Ray source and conveyor motor do
not start when Operator key switch
toggled. Interlock switch not making contact
–
Interlock Message appears on Operator
screen.
Check the Access Panels to ensure they
are correctly seated on their locking
slots. See

mat. Stand on the mat to see if the Interlock
message on the Operator screen goes
away.
Check the connector and if faulty
replace the mat. See

Access Panels are closed to complete
the 12VDC circuit. See

5.2.1 Check Keypad Faults
Fault Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
F01 Control Box cannot
communicate with
BioSans BioSans was improperly closed.
The USB Communication cable is not plugged
in.
BioSans does not work correctly.
Control Box does not work correctly.
Reset BioSans by turning on and off the
computer.
Ensure the USB cable is securely
connected to the Keypad Control Box.
Reset the system.
Contact VOTI technical support.
F02 Emergency Stop
activated Emergency button has been pressed.
There is an internal fault.
Release the Emergency button.
Contact VOTI technical support.
F03 Interlock activated Access Panel has been intentionally opened.
There is an internal fault.
Close the Access Panel.
Contact VOTI technical support.
