USING THE PARKING BRAKE
Activate the parking brake
1. Pull the parking brake control in the tunnel console upward.
A symbol in the driver display illuminates when the parking
brake is activated.
2. Check that the car is stationary.
Releasing manually
1. Depress the brake pedal.
2. Press the parking brake control down. The symbol in the
driver display extinguishes when the parking brake has
been released.
Disengage automatically
1. Put the seatbelt on.
2. Start the engine.
3. Move the gear selector to position
D

R
and depress the
accelerator pedal. The symbol in the driver display extin-
guishes when the parking brake has been released.
Using the "Automatic braking when stationary" function (Auto
Hold), the driver can release the brake pedal while maintain-
ing braking effect when the car has stopped at e.g. traffic
lights. The brakes are released when the accelerator pedal is
depressed again. The function works on all types of gradient.
– Depress the button in the tunnel console to activate. The
function is activated until it is deactivated by pressing the
same button.
