If you suspect there is a problem, see your Volvo Penta
dealer as soon as possible for proper diagnosis and re-
quired service or adjustment. Continued operation could
result in damage to the shift mechanism and loss of shift
and throttle control that could result in personal injury.

Checking instruments

Check your instruments often. Stop the boat engine if you
have an abnormal reading or if your audible alarm sounds.

Normal readings are shown below.

Oil Pressure Gauge:

Normal operating pressure is approxi-

mately 21 - 71 psi (150 - 500 kPa).

Water Temperature Gauge:

Temperature should be be-

tween 155 - 175°F (68 - 79°C).

Voltmeter:

Operating charge is approximately 14 volts.

When engine is stopped, voltage is approximately 12
volts.
