Open tool holder
Lift up the tool release lever.
If necessary, remove the existing tool by
moving it forward.
Fit a new tool by inserting it from the front
so that the guide holes are aligned over the
studs.
Fold back the tool release lever and check
that the tool is firmly seated.
All tools that come with the delivery have an
open tool holder. If you want to use a tool
with a closed tool holder, this is mounted by
loosening the clamping screw at the end of
the tool holder, attaching the tool and then
locking it with the clamping screw.
Installation of sandpaper
The sanding plate is equipped with a Velcro
fastener, for easy replacement of sandpaper.
Clean the velcro surface of the sanding plate
from debris and dust.
Press the sandpaper onto the Velcro surface,
making sure that the holes in the paper align
with the holes in the sanding surface.
Oscillation rate selection
Set the oscillarion rate by turning the selec-
tor for oscillationsetting.
A high speed 6 is recommended for sawing,
cutting and grinding harder materials, while
a lower speed 4 is suitable for softer materi-
als such as plastic or plaster.
Use
General instructions for the multi-
cutter
Before each use, check that the power switch is
working properly and returns to the off posi-
tion when released.
Applying a larger pressure does not mean
an increased grinding or sawing capacity,
but only increases the wear on the machine
and the tool.
Sawing and cutting:
Use undamaged saw blades that are suitable
for the current task.
Check for foreign objects such as nails or
screws in the workpiece. In these cases a spe-
cial saw blade must be used.
Plunge-sawing may only be done on soft mate-
rials such as wood, plasterboard etc.
Press the switch to start the product and let
it reach the set maximum stroke frequency
before the saw blade comes into contact with
the workpiece.
Immediately release the switch if the saw blade
jams or gets stuck. Widen the cut with a suit-
able tool and pull out the saw blade.
Scraping:
Keep the scraping knife flat against the surface
and apply only a light pressure when scraping
soft materials, e.g. wood, otherwise the scrap-
ing knife can dig into the material.
Grinding:
Fit a suitable sandpaper depending on the ma-
terial to be sanded. Choose a coarse sandpa-
per if a lot of material is to be felled and then
switch to a finer paper.
When sanding, it is recommended that the
dust extractionsystem is used.
Work in stone, soft tile and sealant:
Working in stone material wears hard on the
tool. Only use diamond blades or tools made
of cemented carbide when working in soft
stone materials.
