Dear Customer,
Thank you for purchasing this product. You have bought one of the most powerful, compact and reliable devices of its class.
Please make sure to read this manual carefully before operating the device.
WARNING!!! Important security advice!
-
Warning!!!
Use fluorescent lamps only with electronic starters or with an electronic transformer. Using fluorescent lamps with normal starters
will damage your inverter.
-
This unit produces alternating current of 230V and is not to be put in children’s hands!
-
Even when the unit has been turned off, there can still be 230V AC at the outlet of a while.
-
Must not be operated under adverse circumstances such as: Temperatures above 50°C, inflammable gas, solvents, vapours, dust, humidity
over 80 % rel. or water.
-
The unit must only be operated in closed, dry rooms.
-
The operation of an alternating current load of protection class I ( unit with protection plug respectively PE connection) is dependent on an
earthing of the PE connection at the sine inverter output or an earthing of the battery minus connector. Please note, that corresponding to the
regulations the cover and the PE connector are internal connected to the minus connector of the battery. Under no circumstances is the output
minus conductor to be grounded.
-
As soon as you assume that operation of the unit under safe circumstances is no longer possible, unplug the unit immediately and make sure
that it not put into operation inadvertently. Operating the unit must become unsafe when the unit does not show any signs or working or has
been visibly damaged, when damage has occurred during transport or after storing the unit under unfavourable circumstances.
-
Service and repairs - Servicing and repairs must be conducted by authorised personnel only. Only fuses of the indicated value shall be used as
replacement. No use may be made of repaired fuses or repairs by short-circuiting of the fuse.
Caution: To achieve proper electrical contact between the bolts and the printed circuit board, always fasten the nuts of the DC connectors
(figure 1) even if only used for testing purposes.
Description
Inverters of the Power-Disc family are modern, computer-controlled devices especially suited for mobile applications. The inverter converts the low
DC input voltage into a higher AC voltage.
The output voltage is a square wave approximating the mains voltage in function and amplitude.
Inverters of the Power-Disc family stand out with these features:
? Low idle power consumption
? high efficiency
? Low weight
? precise voltage thresholds
? Precise crystal-controlled 50Hz frequency
? Under- / Over voltage protection
? Low battery warning
? Overload management
? Short circuit protection
? Low voltage shutdown
? Reverse polarity protection
? Soft start - for loads with high inrush current

LED Indicator: The LED indicates various modes of operation of the inverter.
•
LED lights continuously green
Normal operation of the inverter within specified parameters.
•
LED lights continuously yellow (red-green)
The battery voltage is below nominal. Depending on the current draw, continuing use may lead to shutdown due to too low battery voltage.
•
LED lights continuously red
The rated minimum voltage has been exceeded, the battery is discharged. To protect the battery from destructive deep discharge, the device
has shut off the AC voltage. Resetting the device is possible after the battery has reached the minimum operating voltage of the inverter.
•
LED flashes yellow (red-green)
The nominal rated power has been exceeded. This condition is acceptable for short terms.
•
LED flashes red
The maximum rated short-term power of the device has been exceeded. The attached load has too high a power consumption, too high inrush
current or is defective, leading to a short circuit in the inverter output. The inverter tries to restart after approx. 1 minute. In case the inverter
does not succeed to start the load after the third retry, remove the loading device from the inverter output and check the inverter operation.
Check the load device with mains voltage and have it repaired or maintained by a technician in case protective components have been
triggered.
