• Never leave the product unattended during use.

The housing warms up during use. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Do
not cover the housing!
• Do not expose the product directly to the sun.
• Do not store the product in a heated vehicle. Avoid excessive heat (up to 45 °C).
Observe the information in the “Technical data” section.
• Make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Store the product in a cool, dry place when it is not in use.
• The product is bolted to the housing in several places to ensure IP67 protection.
The screw connections on the housing must not be loosened, as this endangers
dust and water-tightness. Opening the screws will void the warranty.
• Consult a technician if you are not sure how to use or connect the product, or if
you have concerns about safety.

Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a
specialist repair centre.
• If you have any questions which are not answered in these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Rechargeable battery
• The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be
replaced.
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of rechargeable
batteries may cause an explosion or a fire! Unlike conventional batteries/
rechargeable batteries (e.g. AA or AAA batteries), the casing of the Li-Po
rechargeable battery is not made of a thin metal sheet, but only of a sensitive
plastic film.
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the
battery or the product into fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you are not using the product.
Due to the rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to
discharge the rechargeable battery first.
• Never leave the battery unattended when it is charging.
• Place the product on a heat-resistant surface before charging the battery. It is
normal that a certain amount of heat is generated during charging.

Charging the internal rechargeable battery
Fully charge the internal rechargeable battery before first use.
Never charge the internal rechargeable battery while an external mobile device is
being charged.
Before charging, make sure that the USB power source can deliver a sufficient
charging current, otherwise you may damage the product.
Do not use the USB port of a computer, keyboard or USB hub without its own power
adapter to charge the internal rechargeable battery, as the current supplied by these
ports is not sufficient.
Make sure that the connected devices’ specifications conform to the product’s
specifications listed in the technical data section.
Do not short-circuit the USB inputs/outputs.

Intended use
The product is intended for use as a mobile spare battery and is suitable for charging the
rechargeable battery of mobile devices (e.g. tablet PC, smartphone, MP3 player, digital
camera, etc.). The built-in internal rechargeable battery is charged via USB. The product is
equipped with a rugged shockproof housing and has a charge status indicator and a LED torch.
The product is protected against short circuit, overcharging and overdischarge.
The product is dustproof and waterproof with a correctly closed rubber cover according to IP67.
If the rubber cover is properly closed, the product is protected against temporary submersion
(up to 1 meter depth for a maximum of 30 minutes).
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product
for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition, improper
use can cause hazards such as a short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third
parties together with its operating instructions.

a) General information
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a
dangerous toy for children.

Protect the product from extreme temperatures, impacts, flammable gases,
vapours and solvents.
• The product is waterproof according to IP67 only when all covers are correctly
closed.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorised use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always observe the safety instructions and operating instructions of any other
devices which are connected to the product.
• Caution, LED light:
- Do not look directly at the LED light!
- Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room
into a warm one. The condensation that forms may destroy the product. Allow the
product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it into use.
This may take several hours.
