13. Troubleshooting
The multimeter was designed using the latest technology and is safe to use.
However, problems and malfunctions may still occur.
This section tells you how to troubleshoot common issues:

The multimeter does not work.
Are the batteries flat?
Check the status. Replace the bat-
teries.
The multimeter automatically
powers off with three beeps.
The batteries are flat. The
undervoltage power-off is active to
prevent incorrect measurements.

“ErrE” display
Internal system error
Power the device off and then on
again.
No measured value change
Have you selected the wrong
measurement mode (AC/DC)?
Check the display (AC/DC) and select
another mode if necessary.
Are the measuring leads plugged
into the measuring sockets cor-
rectly?
Check the proper fit of the measuring
lines
Is the hold function active (“H”)
display
Press the “HOLD” key to disable this
function.
Any repair work other than that described above must be carried out by an authorised technician.
