i) Advanced settings
1. Press and hold the

(6) buttons simultaneously for approx. 3 seconds to
enter advanced settings from pH or TDS mode.
2. In pH mode, press the
button (2) to select the calibration standard. Press the

button to select "USA" or "NIST". Confirm your selection with the
button (3).
3. Press the
button (4) to turn the automatic freeze function ("Auto Lock") on or off. Con-
firm your selection with the
button.
4. In TDS mode, press the
button to determine the conductivity/TDS ratio. Press the
or
button to select the ratio in the range 0.5 - 1.0. Confirm your selection with
the
button.
5. To restore the meter to its factory settings, press the
button (7). All settings (apart from
the calibration standard and "Auto Lock") will be reset.
j) After use
• After use, rinse the conductivity cell or pH electrode with distilled water, dry well and seal
with the protective cap.
• The redox probe electrodes must be kept moist after you have finished taking a measure-
ment. Rinse them with distilled water and replace the cap. Ensure that the cap contains
sufficient electrolyte. If necessary, top up the electrolyte in the cap as described in Section
"c) Setting up the redox probe".
k) Attaching the carry strap
You can use the carry strap to carry the meter and hang it on your neck.
• Secure the carrying strap to the holder (1) on the front of the meter. Use the buckle to
secure it in place.
