8.2.3 Mechanical Seal Disassembly, Rotary Face (Photographic Sequence No. 3)
•
When disassembling the seal (fig.3 - 11), the spring should be removed first.
• Then the rotating element is disengaged, being very careful not to damage its faces.
•
This task can be carried out with the help of mechanical elements.
8.2.4 Disassembly of the Union Body (Photographic Sequence No. 4)
• Loosen the four fastening bolts of the shaft clamp without removing them completely (fig.3- 25.22).
•
Remove the fastening bolts (fig.3 - 25.13) between the connecting body and the motor.
•
Subsequently remove the coupling body (fig.3 - 3) together with the monobloc shaft (fig.3- 7T), taking great
care not to damage the stationary element of the mechanical seal which is located between the coupling body
and the monobloc shaft.
