Complex Remote Functions
The complex remote features are labeled on the remote control with a + sign in front of
them. To use these features, hold down the red +SHIFT button on the remote and then
press the desired button.
1. View button
- When using VCDs, this button will give you 4 options:
INFO, DISC, TRACK and EXIT. The 3 menus will show up to 9 TRACKS or sections.
Note:
PBC mode must be off the VCD must be stopped to access the VIEW options.
2. A-B button
- Allows you to loop a section of a disc.
See the Operations
section in this manual for detailed instructions.
3. EQ button
- Turns on the graphic EQ display. Note: The player must be
connected to a TV/video monitor to view the graphic EQ display.
4. Music Mode button
- Use this button to choose between 5 different DSP
surround sound modes. Choose the one that sounds best in the room that you are in.
5. Random button
- Turns SHUFFLE mode on and off. In SHUFFLE mode, tracks will
play in a random order.
6. PBC
(PlayBack Control)
button
- PBC (VCD discs only) - The PBC (play back
control) button toggles the PBC mode ON/OFF. When in PBC mode, you can direct
access tracks/scenes by using the NUMBER PAD.
Note: Not all discs have PBC support coding. Check to make sure a disc has
PBC support before trying to use the feature.
Pressing the PBC button during the playback of a track/scene will cause the
playback to stop and restart.
7. Clear button
- Erases numbers entered into a menu without exiting the menu.
8. CSHIFT button
- Hold this button down while pressing the
COMPLEX remote functions.
9. Slow button
- Cycles between the different slow motion Forward and
Reverse speeds.

10. Subtitle button
- Cycles through the available languages for discs with
multiple subtitle languages available. Note: Not all discs have multiple
subtitle languages available.
11. Resume button
- Returns you to track listing menu from any
SETUP subdirectory.
12. Angle button
- Cycles through the different available viewing angles on DVD’s
with multiple angles available. See the DVD Operations section in this manual for
detailed instructions.

13. Repeat button
- Cycles through the available repeat options.

14. Search button
- Access the SEARCH menu for DVDs which allows you to
jump directly to a chapter using the number pad.
